Located at Highett, our restaurant offers a unique authentic Indonesian cuisine experience derived from the passions brought by our chefs from all over Indonesia, who combined and created Indonesian-fusion food in our restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious! It appeared to be a small family run restaurant. So the menu may not have a lot of options, but they do offer very authentic Indonesian food nonetheless. It's probably good to know that they have special dishes only on Saturday, so if you were looking forward to having something special (photos featured on the reviews) you might be disappointed. Please don't be, as their regular dishes are great as well. For instance the smashed beef ribs (slow cooked) was one of the bests I ever had. Moreover, it's one more reason to come back on a Saturday. The service was awesome, as they are very nice and friendly. The price is reasonable (actually quite competitive) and the portion is generous. All in all, an absolute recommendation!

NASI KINTAMANI BALI by @nyratnakitchen. We ordered this dish around two months ago after hearing so many good things about this restaurant and how authentic and creative the owner/chef creates different weekend special menu every week! We certainly were not disappointed at all and so glad we found out about this restaurant from @indoozfood - a free Indonesian food businesses directory on Whatsapp and Facebook. We ordered their Balinese special rice set because we rarely have Balinese food here in Melbourne. This awesome rice set was only $35 and consists of: 🧡Ayam Betutu Bakar 🧡Sate Pentul Bali 🧡Srombotan Bali 🧡Telor Bumbu Kuning 🧡Tempe Manis Basah 🧡Sambal Matah 🧡Nasi Putih The main highlights for us are definitely the sate pentul and srombotan. OMG, it was so bloody delicious! Sate pentul was so tender and aromatic and srombotan was like Bali-style “urap” with added steroid, super tasty! Please add this menu back in the future weekend menu, Ny Ratna! We won’t hesitate to order it again.

Ny Ratna Kitchen has became one of my favourite Indonesian restaurant in Melbourne. They have varieties of Indonesian food and very authentic. Since the lockdown, all the weekend menu that have so many episodes looked interesting and delicious. My church used to order many times from Ny Ratna before the lockdown. We called it Nasi kotak. Recently, I bought Nasi Merah Putih Nusantara, Sop Saudara Makassar, Lumpia Semarang and Cake Potong Coklat. My kids love Kue Bolu, the Lumpia Semarang is also the best, crunchy and yummy. Nasi Merah Putih Nusantara represents Indonesian Independence day , I love the chicken satay that is tender and the prawns have delicious sauce so overall is worth to taste. I will definitely recommend Ny Ratna Kitchen.

Indonesian food for Indonesian and non indonesian palate!! 5 out of 5! Delicious (even though they don't use MSG), value for money ( 3 x 1000ml containers of food for only $35) and great service!! Would definitely recommend this place. Oh, if you do have the chance, you really need to try their indonesian snacks selection!! Its so addictive!!

Out for dinner with mates and found the place to be cozy and the owner super friendly, the wooden large table is spacious to sit together with many people. We ordered Fried Rice, Chicken Satay, hot bowl of Cuanki soup, Grilled quarter chicken, and Nasi Uduk, we enjoyed every bit of all the food, nicely presented and each with its own sambal, its perfect, especially the Chicken Satay and Grilled Chicken, very delicious and flavoursome! The peanut sauce is just so good! Definitely will come back again to try their specialty, the Special fried duck and smashed Beef Ribs!

Special dish at Ny Ratna Kitchen: Lontong Cap Go Meh. It’s Javanese cuisine consists of lontong (rice cale), opor ayam (chicken in coconut milk), sayur labu, pindang egg, hot and spicy beef, koya powder, sambal (chilli paste) and prawn cracker. Generous portion, very delicious, and reasonable price. Will come back for another one next time.. 👍

Ordered a flying noodle cake and some grilled chickens from there. The taste is great and the decor for the flying noodle cake is awesome and it impressed my guests. Thank you ny ratna

One of the most authentic Indonesian flavour we've had in Melbourne. Tune in for their weekly menu, which I found so special. Their portions are great without compromising their flavour. so well packaged and the price is reasonable. Have been recommending this gem, because they are so well worth it

Ny Ratna Kitchen consistently delivers their promise to serve authentic and delicious Indonesian food. We recently ordered their Lontong Cap Go Meh (rice cakes with chicken and vegetable curries) and they were perfect dish to be enjoyed by our family. Even our son who is not so used to with Indonesian food cannot resist a second bowl. Cant wait to enjoy your other special dishes, Ny. Ratna ❤️

I continuously order at Ny Ratna Kitchen for their authentic Indonesian cuisine, my personal favourite is their Nasi bebek which comes at a ridiculously cheap price, the restaurant also has a cosy atmosphere as the employees are welcoming and nice. Overall 5 out of 5 experience, I would recommend to everyone

Ordered the Indonesian rice cake curry dish (lontong cap go meh). The dish came with a pleasant surprise - the rice cake or lontong that swam amongst the velvety lushious curry soup was greenish. That means the star of the dish was cooked traditionally, wrapped in banana leaves instead of using plastic wrapper. Simply the best lontong I've ever had outside Indonesia. Highly recommended.

Thee ONLY authentic Indo food around! Can be hard to access with limited opening hours but definitely worth picking up some fried goodness, yummy curries and the sambals of my dreams :)

Hari ini, Makan saya nasi bogona dari ratna kitchen Dan itu lezat. Dalam nasi bogonya tetrisi nasi gurih, ayam suwir opor, daging empal suwir, oseng tahu buncis, sambal goreng kentang dan sambal. Favorit saya adalah nasi gurih karena rasa kelapa. Makanan pedas Dan eksotis. Ratna kitchen terletak di highett. Diabdikan te Kotak dan Dengan makan teman. Harganya cukup murah, Lima Belas dolar.
