It was such a great experience dining here! Traditional Balinese food with a happy vibe! The home made special Balinese sauce is so delicious. Different sauces fit well with different dishes. We can choose the spicy level on our own! It is definitely worth a try! Highly recommend!

Sensational food and genuinely delightful service from Jane. Don’t be turned away by the basement location (like I nearly was!). The peanut salad was divine - tangy, fresh and delicious. The crispy, juicy tofu was scrumptious. The squid crunchy and yummy! The beef rib was flavorsome and the chicken (level 3) moist and packing a flavor punch! An incredible meal. The kids also had a passion fruit drink with jelly which was just delightful. It was so good I forgot to take piccies.

I recently had my first dinner at a Balinese restaurant and it was a great experience! We started with the Balinese peanut salad, which was very tasty. It came with fresh lettuce and cabbage, and the mix of sweet and crunchy textures made it really enjoyable. For the main dish, we had the Balinese Taliwang chicken. It was perfectly crispy and paired beautifully with the sauce flavorful and well-balanced. Overall, the food was delicious, and I’m looking forward to trying more dishes next time!

Sydney now has Balinese fusion! Their dishes are infused with wood charcoal-grilled essence, so the grilled chicken(Wayan in the House) is a must-try! Important note: they offer different spiciness level. Choose carefully according to your chili tolerance - their 'spicy' means serious business! The intimate ambiance with mood lighting makes this a perfect spot for date night. The boss of the restaurant was so friendly and warm welcoming!

Excellent Balinese cuisines in Sydney. Staff is so friendly and welcoming. The fired stuffed tofu is amazing. My favourite is the peanut sauce salad! Grilled chicken from mains is a must try! The restaurant is located in the lower ground of U60 building, near Coles.

If you want to taste Balinese cuisines without worrying Bali Belly, this is the right place. I was ordering Taliwang grilled chicken, and as a person from Bali and have been to Lombok as well, I would say that the taste is really similar to what people have in Lombok. It is so similar that the food gave me a throwback to the moment when I ate Ayam Bakar Taliwang (Taliwang grilled chicken) on a street-food stall back in Lombok. The chefs are so talented that they can tone down the spiciness without compromising the main taste of the Taliwang. I also ate the Jimbaran-style fish meal and I could say that there were no taste differences compared to the one in seashore of Jimbaran (except the chefs tone down the spiciness). The Balinese spices gravy is so authentic, I can feel the freshness, the uniqueness, and it was so flavourful. Oh and the service is so impressive. It feels like I'm having a fine dining but with reasonable price. I was explained about the history of Balinese food and the explanation is so good! No doubt this is the best Balinese/Indonesian restaurant in Sydney. You can get the authenticity without compromising your gut health.

My friend suggested we check out Kko kko as she had eaten here with her boyfriend and loved it. I’m so grateful she invited me to eat here. It was so delicious and I felt like I was on a Bali holiday haha the service was super friendly and our waitress always had a big smile. We tried the slow cooker beef ribs which stood out the most for me. It was so soft and tender. My friend loved the salad, it was a spicy but not too hot peanut dressing with punchy flavours. The sparkling lychee rose drink was also refreshing and tasty and not overwhelming sweet. I’d come back and try more of the menu for sure. Thank you!

Everything was delicious. From the Jimbaran charcoal fish meal, the crispy squid tentacles, to the Wayan in the house (chicken). The chicken was so delicious that I ordered another portion. Friendly service. Would definitely go back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Incredible Night at KKO KKO Balinese in Pyrmont Last week, my friends and I decided to try KKO KKO Balinese in Pyrmont after hearing great things — and wow, it absolutely lived up to the hype! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with such warmth and hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel like valued guests. The food? Phenomenal. Every single dish was packed with bold, authentic Balinese flavours that took us straight to Indonesia. The highlight for me was definitely the Balinese peanut salad — so fresh, crunchy, and full of flavour with just the right kick of spice. But honestly, everything was delicious. We also had the charcoal chicken, the beef ribs , and the satay skewers that were grilled to perfection. We were a group of friends just looking for a great night out, and this place delivered beyond expectations. The atmosphere was vibrant yet cozy, with beautiful decor that really set the mood. The portion sizes were generous, the pricing was fair, and the food came out quickly without ever feeling rushed.

I had my first taste of Balinese cuisine here, and it did not disappoint! I usually opt for Indonesian food, but Balinese cuisine offers a unique twist – a little sweeter with customizable spice levels. The restaurant is easy to find with clear signage throughout the building, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The staff? Unbelievably friendly! I’ve never encountered such warm and personable service. The chicken dish was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, while the charcoal-grilled ribs were perfectly sweet and authentic. The tofu stuffed with filling was a surprising delight, and the peanut salad added a wonderful crunch. But the real show-stopper? The satay chicken! Absolutely loved it with its rich sauce. For dessert, the fried banana was a bit sweet for my taste, but the croissant-like crispy and buttery exterior was heavenly. Perfect spot for a date night. Highly recommend trying it out!

We chose KKO KKO BALINESE Restaurant for our anniversary dinner, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was top-notch—warm, attentive, and truly made our evening special. We took the $39 set menu. The food was simply amazing, bringing authentic Balinese flavors to life. As the only Balinese restaurant, Kko Kko truly delivers the taste of Bali on a plate. We started with a selection of prawn crackers, tofu, and fish cakes, each bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. The highlight of the night was the beef ribs—succulent, tender, and paired beautifully with the smoky sauce that took the taste to another level. To complement the meal, I had the lychee rose drink, which was refreshingly light and added the perfect touch to our dining experience. Highly recommend this place for a memorable dining experience, delicious food, and exceptional service. If you’re craving true Balinese flavors, this is the place to be! We’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely loved this Balinese restaurant! Every dish was a delight. The fried squid was incredibly fresh and had a perfect bouncy texture — definitely a must-try. The fish cakes had a unique, chewy texture that might surprise you at first, but the flavor was outstanding. The fried tofu was wonderfully soft and fluffy on the inside, with a crispy coating that made it so satisfying. The salad had a rich, distinctive flavor — refreshing yet complex, with a great mix of textures. But the highlight for me was definitely the beef short ribs — fall-off-the-bone tender and bursting with flavor. I actually preferred eating them without the dipping sauce to fully enjoy the marinade. The service here is truly exceptional. The owner is incredibly kind and warm — she even crouched down to talk to us at eye level when taking our order, which felt so personal and welcoming. What really impressed us was how she greeted guests from different countries in their own languages! Her Mandarin is excellent, and she explained each dish to us in detail in Chinese. The prices are extremely affordable — around $30 per person for a very filling meal. Amazing value for such high-quality food and service. Highly recommended

A Ticket Directly to Bali 🏖️ This is the first and only Balinese restaurant in Sydney, and I’ve never tasted anything quite like it before — full of flavour, unique, comforting, and refreshingly different from the usual. The peanut salad and their signature Wayan in the House Chicken were absolute standouts. Even the Crispy Tofu — something you might see on many menus — totally impressed me with their twist on it. Every dish was memorable, and I’m already planning to come back to try the rest of the menu (and bring more friends along!). The owner was lovely — genuinely passionate about sharing Balinese food. She even shared the story behind why she opened the restaurant, which made the experience feel extra personal. You can really feel the love and pride behind everything here. It’s a little tucked away and not the easiest to find, but that only makes it more of a hidden gem. If you’re after something new and authentic, I highly recommend giving it a go. The 4.9 rating speaks for itself — and I’m more than happy to add to it. 🤩🤩
