Must try! Beku Gelato has such unique flavours and the texture is so smooth and creamy. I tried the PAAN and the hazelnut, both were absolutely delicious! I also ordered the hot chocolate, and it tasted different from any other hot chocolate I’ve had, in the best way. Whenever I’m in the area, I’ll definitely come back to try more flavours. Do yourself a favour and give them a go, you won’t regret it!

I love the variety of flavours and their unique taste. My favourite is the Paan flavour with Betel leaf and fennel. Also loved the pandan with rice. They are not overly sweet. I also had a warm ginger milk drink that was very soothing.

Have been wanting to visit you guys but living in Geelong is quite far. I was just amazed with all the flavours that you guys have. Tolak angin was surprisingly not weird Nastar (pineapple tart) was also something that I would never thought of. And it was amazing But at the end we bought durian and ube. Durian was strong and we LOVE it! Definitely coming back when we visit Melbourne ❤️ Edit 2025: Tried their affogato. Apparently you can choose the ice cream flavour for it. Dear husband tried it with pistachio and interestingly YUM! #bulgogi_n_rendang

My favourite ice cream place in Melbourne! The flavours are great, most of them are not too sweet. The ice cream is so soft and creamy with an amazing texture. The first time I went it wasn't very busy (only 1 other customer before me), the staff member not only let me try all the flavours I was excited about (maybe 6 flavours?) but then also kept handing me more flavours to try and they were all good! Since then I've been back over 10 times and have probably tried every flavour now. If you're southeast Asian, come here to be reminded of the taste of home! Bonus: dog friendly seating

Possibly the best matcha strawberry drink I’ve ever had! Very creamy and smooth matcha, subtle strawberry flavour without being too jammy or chunky 🍓

Truly exceptional gelato and in my global top 5. Large collection of Indonesian and other Asian inspired flavors (25+, 6 vegan). Decent prices, good portions and they allow sampling. They also have Indonesian and other classical hot/cold drinks and other desserts. Strongest possible recommendation. My favorites were the Paan, Durian, Indonesian ginger and cendol. But everything I had was exceptional. Will definitely visit next time I come to Melbourne.

This cute little gelato shop stands out from the rest! They offer unique flavours from different Asian countries, and they taste amazing. The gelato is served in a fun, distinctive way, with a sprinkle of nuts on top for an extra touch. Not only is it great for photos, but the flavors are something you won’t find anywhere else.

One of the best gelato places in Melbourne IMO. The texture of the gelati is smooth and creamy. It's not too sweet which means the flavour can actually shine. Great selection of flavours - offering a few usual favourites and many unique ones too.

We visited post lunch, the reason I mention this is because it made us have so much self control. I tried 4 flavours before settling on a scoop of Pandan Rice Pudding. The texture and taste was so good, it was so sweet and milky. The staff were lovely and patient while we made a choice. On a spring afternoon sitting outside and savouring this was perfection.

Fascinating Asian inspired flavours - beautifully delivered. I had the milky lychee yuzu gelato - loved the clarity of flavour, great texture on the gelato. Can’t wait to come back to try a few more flavours! Thanks also for the amazing service - the server made great recommendations with generous samples!

I had been missing out on really nice gelatos until I tried Beku! I had tried gelatos from other popular names out there and was a bit sceptical about Beku because their flavours were unusual. How wrong I was! Their gelatos were exceptional. We tried their pineapple tart and it was very delicious. The flavour was well balanced and very refreshing. I will definitely go back to try their other flavours.

Lovely Indonesian ice cream find on busy Lygon street. All the flavours sound so inviting (cendol, milo dinosaur, ube, etc.) that we just wanted to try them all. Ended up with two flavours - cendol and calamansi sorbet - and both were fantastic. Lines were expectedly long and moving slowly but we ended up happy with the options we had.

It is a busy gelato store in famous Lygon street for foodie. It offers great variety of Asian fusion flavours. They are delicious and has great texture. The staff is really nice and you can ask them to try some flavour before you buy it. Definitely come back for other flavours when dine in the area.

Really high quality gelato here. Got the teh tarik one based on everyone’s reviews and it did not disappoint. Airy creamy and not a heavy finish.

What a charming little Indonesian Gelato Cafe! The staff here are incredibly friendly. - I had the cendol flavor ice cream, and it was absolutely delicious—the palm sugar taste was wonderfully strong and authentic! - I also gave the durian flavor a try; it was good, though I think I've had even better at another gelato spot. - My least favorite was definitely the tolak angin flavor. - On the bright side, they serve teh tarik, and it's one of the best I’ve ever had! - I do wish they had indoor seating, but that's okay—I’m so excited to try more of their menu!

Best Gelato ice cream I have tested in Melbourne. The gelato captures the essence of many asian flavours (Pandan, Ube, Durian) Loved the complimentary try before you buy. Highly recommend this gelato spot on Lygon!

Now my favourite Gelato in the Melbourne area! We had Pandan Rice Pudding and Matcha Latte flavour. The gelato was creamy and tasted authentic. The staff were lovely and were happy to let us try some flavours. There was also take home drinks and homemade tiramisu available! Tiramisu flavours included both original and Matcha. Will come back again!

Friendly staff, simple ice cream gelato place. Extraordinary favours available which makes this place very special. Milky lychee, matcha, pandan, milk tea, Durian and many more favours! I’ve always have a hard time choosing which ones to get. It’s one of my favourite ice cream place ❤️

We love Beku. Located along Lygon Street, Carton few doors away from Carlton Audio. A great variety of gelato Asian inspired flavours. Love their chendol and pineapple tart gelato. Matcha is yummy too. Great service!
