Ordered Beef rendang and fried chicken to take away. The rendang was fridge cold and the chicken was mummified dry. The beef in the rendang was tough and dry and the sauce was bland. The chicken wasn’t really edible as it was just too dried up. Very surprising and dissapointing. Not sure how they can get it so wrong. The rice was ok.

Top notch, great authentic dishes, everything tasted fresh and flavourful (we tried gado gado and the packet 3 with curry chicken and beef rendang). The people working there are really professional and kind, I found the place also very clean, including the toilet. They also have a sink to wash your hands right next to the cash and a Tv area with cushion for kids. Will be back 🔙

Amazing food, and incredible service. Our family hails from Indonesia, and there aren't many Indonesian cuisine restaurants where we live in Brisbane. Right when you walk in the place has amazing atmosphere, with lots of typical Indonesian snacks and drinks on display and super friendly customer service. We ordered the Beef Rendang, Bakso Abang Abang and the Iga Bakar. The Rendang was amazing with big, tender pieces of beef and good portion size. The pork ribs were incredibly soft and flavourful, and fell right off the bone. And the bakso broth and meatballs had amazing flavour and texture. Everything was served super quickly, and every dish transported us straight back to Indonesia. The owners and chefs were incredibly friendly and happy to chat. If you want amazing Indonesian food made by incredibly friendly people for a good price, this is the only place we've found it. We would happily travel the ten hours for this food any day, cannot recommend it enough. Thanks guys

I was excited to try Indominute Cafe, as I love Indonesian food and was drawn in by the $15.90 special. However, my experience left me feeling a bit disappointed. After asking the cashier about the special, I was incorrectly charged twice, and then an unexpected weekday surcharge was added. The surcharge wasn’t clearly displayed near the special, which was confusing. Given that the cafe was empty, it didn’t make much sense to me. I also wondered why there aren’t any lunch specials, as that would make it a more appealing regular spot. I was considering making this my go-to lunch place, but the pricing and inconsistencies made me hesitant. I hope the cafe takes customer feedback into account, as repeated concerns in reviews might be worth addressing. That said, I do appreciate the availability of Indonesian cuisine and hope to see some improvements in the future.

Unfortunately, the food was just average. And while nothing was particularly bad, nothing stood out either. The flavors felt a bit bland and lacked depth, making the overall experience underwhelming.

I had an amazing time dining at Indominute Newtown! The Kwetiau was a standout—so rich and perfectly spiced, it’s a must-try. The restaurant is cozy and has a relaxing vibe. Every dish I ordered was absolutely delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. This place is a gem for authentic Indonesian food in Sydney!

Sought shelter from the rain in here and ended up experiencing an amazing dinner! I ordered the vermicelli chicken noodle soup and it was very hearty and delicious. The staff are so friendly and theres a cozy ambience. Will defs be back!

We have dinner here, everything so good. So kind and friendly staff. we spend less than 20 dollars per person for sharing set menu and we are really enjoy for that.
